Bratislava (Slovakia) Food Market

Just wanted to share some pictures of an Outdoor Food Market in Bratislava, Slovakia.  This market is located near our home and is open 6 days a week (closed Sundays).  I love being able to support the local markets and farmers!

There are also some amazing little restaurants located within this large market.  We tried a Vietnamese spot and it was to die for!

  1. Trhovisko Miletičova? We used to live on Gemerska steet just a few hundret meters from the market. A very fond memory of mine is to go to the market on Saturday mornings during the summer to buy some fresh fruits and bread for breakfast. 🙂

    1. Yes! That’s awesome. I have yet to speak with very many people that have lived in Bratislava and speak English. Do you have any recommendations for restaurants? Maybe even some coffee shops? What about a gym? I would love to hear about some of your favorite places therefore I could check them out as well.

      1. There are so much to see and do in Bratislava so I’m not sure of where to start. 🙂

We lived in Bratislava for a year and a half and moved back to Sweden in 2014. So some things might have changed. But there were a restaurant on Miletičova between the market and the shopping center Central named Idyla. Huge portions and really nice food for a good price, especially the garlic soup is a favorite. There are also Pulitzer and Flagship in the center that got quite good food for a good price.

I guess that my partner might know more about the coffee shops, as she was quite fond of them. And I don’t know about any other gym than the one we had at work.

We have written on our blog about some of the main sights and other destinations in Slovakia worth visiting. There are a lot of hidden gems depending on what you like.

If you have any questions just ask and we will see if we know the answer. Easiest is to send us a message on Facebook

Best of luck in Bratislava. 🙂

  2. Ahh Sweden is like another home to us. We used to live in Karlstad for 3 years. I am very excited to take in another country! I can’t thank you enough for this info. I will continue to check out your blog in hopes to find those hidden gems therefore we can experience them. Hope you don’t mind but I will definitely be in touch with you and your wife via FB Messenger.

    Thank you!! 🙂
